What you need
To join an Askplane session you need:- A phone or laptop with any browser (no app to install)
- The five-character session code from the presenter (on the slide, the wall, or said out loud)
How to join

Open a browser
On your phone or laptop, go to askplane.com. You’ll see a join field.

Enter the session code
Type the five-character code shown on the presenter’s slide. The code is case-insensitive. If you mistype, the join screen gives you immediate feedback.

Enter your name and work email
Type your display name and work email. Both fields are required. The presenter uses this to send follow-up after the session.

You're in
Once you submit, you’re connected to the session. Polls and Q&A appear on your screen as the presenter opens them: you don’t need to refresh.
Your work email is collected so the presenter can send you follow-up materials. It is not shared with third parties.
Answering polls
The presenter controls which poll is open. When a poll opens, it appears on your screen automatically.Choice: pick one option

Tap the option you want to vote for. You can only pick one. Your vote is submitted immediately. You can see live results after the poll closes.

Type a word or short phrase in the text field and submit. Repeated words from all attendees grow larger in the word cloud on the presenter’s slide.

Tap the option you believe is the correct answer. After everyone votes, the presenter reveals the right answer. On sessions using the Paid plan, a live leaderboard shows top scorers after the reveal.

Tap a number on the 1–5 scale to submit your score. The presenter sees the average and distribution across all responses.

Type anything you want in the text field and submit. Your response appears in a live feed on the presenter’s slide alongside other attendees’ answers.

Drag the options up or down to arrange them in the order that makes most sense to you, then submit. The presenter sees the aggregate ranking across all attendees.
Asking questions
If the presenter has Q&A enabled, you’ll see a question input on your screen alongside the polls. Type your question and submit it. It goes to the presenter’s moderation queue: it won’t appear on the slide until the presenter approves it. The presenter can also pin questions to keep them prominent, or hide questions that are off-topic.All submitted questions (including those the presenter hides) are included in the session’s CSV export with a status label, so the presenter retains a full record of everything submitted.
