Askplane is the app. The session (polls, Q&A, roster) lives there. Integrations keep you in the presentation you already built.
PowerPoint is available today. A task pane starts the session, opens and closes polls, and moderates Q&A without a second window. The room still joins from a phone. They never install the add-in.
Google Slides, Pitch, and Gamma are in progress. So are AI integrations with Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot.
What the PowerPoint add-in does
- Opens a task pane that persists across slides
- Lets you log in or paste a secret host URL
- Lists this event’s polls: open and close with one tap
- Shows live vote counts in the pane while results update on the slide
- Shows the Q&A queue so you approve, pin, or hide without leaving the deck
- Ends the session; export stays in the app
Compatibility
Two ways to connect
Log in: work email and password in the task pane.
Secret host URL: paste the event’s host URL. Useful when IT blocks add-in auth, or when you hand control to a colleague without sharing your password.
Use the host URL if Office add-in sign-in is blocked. Same host controls, no account prompt in the pane.
What attendees see
The add-in is presenter-only. The room joins at askplane.com with the five-character code. Nothing to install.
See Install then Host from PowerPoint.
